Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,764 new cases, 3,370 recoveries, 213 deaths over past 24 hours
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,764 from 6,260 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 8.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 178; Bourgas - 73; Varna – 203; Veliko Turnovo - 137; Vidin – 6; Vratsa - 61; Gabrovo – 61; Dobrich - 37; Kardzhali - 27; Kyustendil - 36; Lovech - 16; Montana - 50; Pazardzhik - 92; Pernik - 34; Pleven - 82; Plovdiv - 326; Razgrad - 19; Rousse - 170; Silistra - 66; Sliven - 64; Smolyan – 22; Sofia district - 69; Sofia city – 543; Stara Zagora - 214; Targovishte - 14; Haskovo - 71; Shoumen - 71; Yambol - 22.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 164,185.
The active cases are 93,559.
Of the total, 6,821 patients are in hospitals, 523 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 3,370 recoveries, bringing the total to 65,616;
- 155 medical professionals infected, bringing the total to 7,090;
- 213 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to 5,010.
