Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,995 new cases; 150 deaths reported in a day
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,995 from 17,056 tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on March 9.
1,398 were confirmed from PCR and 1,597 from antigen tests.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 103; Bourgas - 227; Varna – 169; Veliko Turnovo – 74; Vidin – 10; Vratsa - 82; Gabrovo – 33; Dobrich - 28; Kardzhali - 31; Kyustendil - 66; Lovech - 32; Montana - 45; Pazardzhik - 94; Pernik - 33; Pleven – 154; Plovdiv - 238; Razgrad - 10; Rousse - 78; Silistra - 89; Sliven - 63; Smolyan – 37; Sofia district - 84; Sofia city – 802; Stara Zagora - 116; Targovishte – 9; Haskovo - 94; Shoumen – 160; Yambol - 34.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 263,303.
The active cases are 38,424.
Of the total, 5,903 patients are in hospitals, 503 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 1,228 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 214,115;
- 5,501 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 294,132;
- 150 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 10,764.
