Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 3,121 new cases, positivity rate is over 18%
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 3,121 from 17,277 tests, data published on the National Information Portal shows on March 12.
The test positivity rate is more than 18%.
1,882 were confirmed from PCR and 1,239 from antigen tests.
The latest cases registered in the districts are as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 105; Bourgas - 285; Varna – 184; Veliko Turnovo – 62; Vidin – 9; Vratsa - 102; Gabrovo – 36; Dobrich - 33; Kardzhali - 22; Kyustendil - 79; Lovech - 33; Montana - 55; Pazardzhik - 51; Pernik - 66; Pleven – 130; Plovdiv - 255; Razgrad - 14; Rousse - 60; Silistra - 63; Sliven - 112; Smolyan – 43; Sofia district - 114; Sofia city – 911; Stara Zagora - 91; Targovishte – 6; Haskovo - 84; Shoumen – 79; Yambol - 37.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 272,700.
The active cases are 39,823.
Of the total, 6,604 patients are in hospitals, 502 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 1,734 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 221,783;
- 15,301 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 324,446;
- 95 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 11,094.
