Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 3,159 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 3,159 from 17,161 tests, data published on the National Information Portal shows on March 13.

1,879 were confirmed from PCR and 1,280 from antigen tests.

The latest cases registered in the districts are as follows:

Blagoevgrad - 109; Bourgas - 294; Varna – 179; Veliko Turnovo – 78; Vidin – 15; Vratsa - 105; Gabrovo – 25; Dobrich - 51; Kardzhali - 30; Kyustendil - 47; Lovech - 39; Montana - 58; Pazardzhik - 96; Pernik - 56; Pleven – 152; Plovdiv - 243; Razgrad - 12; Rousse - 100; Silistra - 66; Sliven - 58; Smolyan – 54; Sofia district - 108; Sofia city – 841; Stara Zagora - 111; Targovishte – 7; Haskovo - 94; Shoumen – 79; Yambol - 52.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 275,859.

The active cases are 41,183.

Of the total, 6,818 patients are in hospitals, 506 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 1,697 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 223,480;
• 12,214 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 336,660;
• 102 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 11,196
