Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 3,614 new cases
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 3,614 from 9,530 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 5.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 187; Bourgas - 257; Varna – 249; Veliko Turnovo - 97; Vidin – 21; Vratsa - 135; Gabrovo – 76; Dobrich - 55; Kardzhali - 26; Kyustendil - 117; Lovech - 40; Montana - 56; Pazardzhik - 99; Pernik - 67; Pleven - 110; Plovdiv - 380; Razgrad - 24; Rousse - 130; Silistra - 94; Sliven - 102; Smolyan – 34; Sofia district - 92; Sofia city – 675; Stara Zagora - 223; Targovishte - 18; Haskovo - 109; Shoumen - 76; Yambol - 65.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 158,807.
The active cases are 94,480.
Of the total, 6,744 patients are in hospitals, 504 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 2,536.The total recoveries are 59,677.
A total of 6,794 medical professionals have tested positive for Covid-19, including 170 new cases overnight (47 doctors; 54 nurses; 28 healthcare assistants; 6 paramedics; 35 other medical staff).
147 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 4,650.
