Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 3,980 new cases from 9,715 PCR tests
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 3,980 from 9,715 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 9.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 114; Bourgas - 471; Varna – 391; Veliko Turnovo - 22; Vidin – 28; Vratsa - 110; Gabrovo – 55; Dobrich - 76; Kardzhali - 32; Kyustendil - 47; Lovech - 62; Montana - 53; Pazardzhik - 111; Pernik - 79; Pleven - 119; Plovdiv - 394; Razgrad - 34; Rousse - 172; Silistra - 44; Sliven - 146; Smolyan – 5; Sofia district - 151; Sofia city – 711; Stara Zagora - 240; Targovishte - 24; Haskovo -135; Shoumen - 59; Yambol - 95.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 168,165.
The active cases are 93,981.
Of the total, 6,839 patients are in hospitals, 514 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 3,412 recoveries, bringing the total to 69,028;
- 164 medical professionals infected, bringing the total to 7,254;
- 146 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to 5,156.
