Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 448 new cases, positivity rate now rises to 11.8%

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 448 from 3,795 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 11. The percentage of the infected is 11. 8% of all tested.

The largest number of new cases was reported in Sofia city (116), Plovdiv (56), Blagoevgrad (55), Varna (49) and Plovdiv (42). .

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 24,319.

The active cases are 7,610.

Of the total, 1,189 patients are in hospitals, 59 of them being in intensive care.

105 recoveries were registered over the past 24 hours. The total recoveries are 15,818.

The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 1,357, including 21 new cases over the past 24 hours: 10 doctors; 5 nurses, 3 healthcare assistants and 3 other medical staff.

Four Covid-19 related deaths were reported over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total deaths to 891.
