Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 497 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 497 from 1,634 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 14.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 179,449.

The active cases are 90,041.

Of the total, 7,244 patients are in hospitals, 590 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

- 1,963 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 83,720;
- 109 medical professionals infected, bringing the total to date to 7,853;
- 62 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 5,688.
