Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 535 new cases; 6,728 recoveries overnight
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 535 from 7,439 tests (including PCR and antigen tests), data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on January 15.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 37; Bourgas - 43; Varna – 33; Veliko Turnovo - 4; Vidin – --; Vratsa - 13; Gabrovo – 10; Dobrich - 15; Kardzhali - 9; Kyustendil - 6; Lovech - 5; Montana - 3; Pazardzhik - 26; Pernik - 9; Pleven - 16; Plovdiv - 40; Razgrad - 7; Rousse - 11; Silistra - 17; Sliven - 9; Smolyan – 2; Sofia district - 10; Sofia city – 132; Stara Zagora - 36; Targovishte - 8; Haskovo - 22; Shoumen - 8; Yambol - 4.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 210,951.
The active cases are 52,185.
Of the total, 3,631patients are in hospitals, 343 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 6,728 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 150,370;
- 648 vaccinated, bringing the total vaccinations to date to 17,686;
- 47 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 8,396.
