Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 544 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 544 from 7,921 tests (including 338 confirmed from PCR and 206 from antigen tests), data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on January 19.

The positivity rate is 7% of the tested.

The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:

Blagoevgrad - 14; Bourgas - 77; Varna – 32; Veliko Turnovo - 14; Vidin – 4; Vratsa - 16; Gabrovo – 4; Dobrich - 9; Kardzhali - 6; Kyustendil - 18; Lovech - 9; Montana - 1; Pazardzhik - 22; Pernik - 12; Pleven - 35; Plovdiv - 34; Razgrad - 4; Rousse - 19; Silistra - 3; Sliven - 20; Smolyan – 5; Sofia district - 16; Sofia city – 107; Stara Zagora - 23; Targovishte - --; Haskovo - 20; Shoumen - 13; Yambol - 6.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 212,927.

The active cases are 33,815.

Of the total, 3,223 patients are in hospitals, 318 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

  • 6,243 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 170,498;
  • 2,588 vaccinated, bringing the total vaccinations to date to 22,226;
  • 49 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 8,614.
