Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 679 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 679 from 3,759 tests, data published on the National Information Portal shows on March 15.

270 were confirmed from PCR and 409 from antigen tests.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 278,557.

The active cases are 42,090

Of the total, 7,101 patients are in hospitals, 533 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 584 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 225,182;
• 975 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 338,879;
• 51 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 11,285.
