Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 832 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 832 from 11,576 tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on February 2.

391 were confirmed from PCR and 441 from antigen tests.

The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:

Blagoevgrad - 39; Bourgas - 85; Varna – 33; Veliko Turnovo – 23; Vidin – 4; Vratsa - 22; Gabrovo – 12; Dobrich - 4; Kardzhali - 17; Kyustendil - 20; Lovech - 8; Montana - 7; Pazardzhik - 39; Pernik - 10; Pleven - 33; Plovdiv - 64; Razgrad - 4; Rousse - 35; Silistra - 18; Sliven - 19; Smolyan – 6; Sofia district - 12; Sofia city – 203; Stara Zagora - 30; Targovishte – 3; Haskovo - 42; Shoumen - 37; Yambol - 3.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 219,580.

The active cases are 21,466.

Of the total, 2,850 patients are in hospitals, 265 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

  • 1,920 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 188,972;
  • 1,509 vaccinated, bringing the total vaccinations to date to 42,634;
  • 97 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 9,142.
