Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 99 new cases, 159 recoveries, 18 deaths

The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 99 out of 3588 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on August 25 shows.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 15,386.

The active cases are 4326.

Of the total, 714 are in hospitals, 65 of them being in intensive care.

The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 159, thus bringing the total recoveries to 10,497.

The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 845, including 10 confirmed in the past 24 hours: 4 doctors; 3 nurses; and 3 healthcare asssitants.

The total of fatalities rose to 563.

18 Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
