Coronavirus in Bulgaria: Daily cases rise to 1,405

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,405 from 21,906 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 18.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 435,940.

The active cases are 16,983

Of the total, 1,832 patients are in hospitals, 160 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 160 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 400,562

· 12,219 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 2,163,959

· 19 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 18,395.
