Coronavirus in Bulgarria: 1,589 new cases
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,589 from 9,831 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 24.
The latest cases were registered in the following districts:
Blagoevgrad - 109; Bourgas - 45; Varna - 68; Veliko Turnovo - 28; Vidin – 3; Vratsa - 16; Gabrovo - 15; Dobrich - 12; Kardzhali - 22; Kyustendil - 15; Lovech - 16; Montana - 23; Pazardzhik - 30; Pernik - 21; Pleven - 15; Plovdiv - 147; Razgrad - 28; Rousse - 53; Silistra - 6; Sliven - 25; Smolyan - 12; Sofia district - 35; Sofia city - 594; Stara Zagora - 95; Targovishte - 38; Haskovo - 25; Shoumen - 76; Yambol - 17.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 36,519.
The active cases are 17,340.
Of the total, 1,886 patients are in hospitals, 127 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 269. The total recoveries are 18,102.
A total of 1,831 medical professional have tested positive for the virus since the start of the epidemic, including 45 newly infected over the past 24 hours.
13 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. Total deaths rose to 1,077.
