Covid-19: Restauranteurs staged a protest

Restaurant owners and staff protested in front of the Council of Ministers in Sofia on January 27. They demanded to receive in time the benefits and compensations for being closed under the anti-epidemic measures.

Yesterday, representatives of the industry agreed with the Minister of Health, Kostadin Angelov, that the restaurants would re-open on March 1, and the nightclubs two weeks later.

However, some organizations in the industry went to the protest today.

For the time being, restauranteurs said they would not re-open en masse on February 1st, because they would feel responsible if the incidence of coronavirus then increases.
