Detour routes announced as protests by miners and energy workers continue blocking key roads in Bulgaria
Blockades of key roads in the country continue on October 3 due to protests by energy workers and miners.
Traffic on Trakia motorway from the Svoboda junction at Chirpan to the Nova Zagora junction, in both directions, continues to be restricted due to protest actions. The detour is via road II-66 Sliven - Stara Zagora.
Traffic is temporarily restricted through the Pass of the Republic between Gurkovo and Veliko Turnovo.
Freight vehicles travelling from the checkpoint "Kapitan Andreevo" in the direction of Rousse - "Danube Bridge" or vice versa are being diverted via the road Harmanli-Topolovgrad-Elhovo-Yambol, as well as through Rishki Pass. The detour for cars is via Shipchenski and Kotlenski Pass.
Traffic on Struma motorway, Sofia-Blagoevgrad section at the 59th kilometre, is restricted in both directions from Boboshevo road junction to Dyakovo road junction. The detour route is along the road I-1 Sofia-Blagoevgrad via Dupnitsa.
Traffic is temporarily restricted on road II-76 in the area of Bulgarska Polyana. The detour route is: Bulgarska Polyana – Topolovgradd, III-559 road – Svetlina – Polski Gradrts – II-55 road- Madrets – Glavan – road II – 76 and vice versa.
