Bulgaria stepped on the red carpet. Bulgarian actor Dimitar Marinov stepped with the Bulgarian flag on the stage of "Dolby Theater" during the Oscar Awards ceremony. He starred in the “Green Book” film, which won 3 statues including for Best Picture.

Marinov has lived and worked in America since the 1990s.For the role of Oleg in the film, he was personally chosen by Steven Spielberg and Peter Farrell. He says he felt like Cinderella on the red carpet.

I am part of this unique project, I had the opportunity to work with unique people and especially to present Bulgaria for the first time with such a big role in such a production, rated for Oscar, Marinov said in an inetrview for BNT. I am proud of that and the only reason for my desire to step on the red carpet is not me, but Bulgaria. To show the world that we also have this opportunity and that we have this talent, and by giving inspiration to our young Bulgarian colleagues and teenage generation.
