The Canadian director of Bulgarian descent, Ted Kotcheff, received the “Golden Century” award from Bulgaria’s Ministry of Culture. At the award ceremony on 10th of March, he said he intended to make a film about the Bulgarian King Boris III and the saving of the Bulgarian Jews and added that the script was ready.
The director of “Rambo: First Blood” offered to share his experience in film-making with the students from Bulgaria’s National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. Kotcheff said that so far he had received many awards, but this one was especially valuable because it came from his roots.
