First LNG tanker for Bulgaria arrived at a terminal in Turkey
The first LNG tanker for Bulgaria under the agreement signed between Bulgarian public supplier Bulgargaz and the Turkish company Botas. arrived in Turkey on April 12, Once the tanker with a capacity of 50 million cubic meters is regasified, the gas from the tanker will be delivered to Bulgaria.

The meeting between the caretaker Minister of Energy Rosen Hristov, Bulgargaz CEO Denitsa Zlateva and representatives of the Botash company at the Marmara LNG port has already started.
The agreement on access to Turkey's gas infrastructure was signed in early January. The contract is for 13 years and allows to transport annually up to one and a half billion cubic meters of natural gas purchased from different sources.
The liquefied natural gas is supplied by the US company Cheniere Energy, which won a Bulgargaz tender to provide quantities for Bulgaria's needs for 2023.
One of Bulgargaz' conditions for participation in the tender was that the sources of LNG supply should be from countries without sanctions, embargoes or any trade restrictions.
