At the beginning of the regular weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers on October 30, the caretaker Prime Minister thanked the Bulgarian citizens who went to the polls to vote on Sunday. Apparently, the calls for active participation have reached them, the different messages of the political parties that participated in the vote have also reached them and this is a good sign that should continue, he said.

"On the other hand, I think we have fulfilled our main task - organising fair and transparent elections. From now on, we call on politicians for restraint and constructive dialogue, because the formation of a regular and stable government is in their hands" Dimitar Glavchev stressed.

The caretaker PM also said that some of the most important laws - on the state budget, on the NHIF budget and on the budget of the State Social Insurance - are to be considered. The Council of Ministers will decide to table them when the 51st National Assembly is formed, as the Public Finance Act stipulates that the budget is to be submitted by October 31.

"We hope that the 51st National Assembly will be constituted sooner and a regular and stable government will be formed that has political support and is politically accountable for its actions. When, in four years, I hope, there are new elections and voters assess what they listened to in the election campaign, what commitments were made and what was done, then their turnout will be even greater," caretaker Prime Minister Glavchev said.
