Hospitals in Bulgaria’s coastal district of Varna pause non-emergency surgery
Hospitals in the Bulgarian coastal city of Varna and the district halt elective surgery and non-urgent admissions of patients as of September 10.
The reason for stopping planned procedures is because medical staff will be redirected to Covid wards.
Varna is re-designated as Covid-19 red zone in terms of morbidity.
The cancellation of procedures does not apply to some groups of patients, including cancer.
