Inflation rate since the beginning of the year (September 2021 compared to December 2020) is at 3.5%, and annual inflation for September 2021 compared to September 2020 is at 4.8%, the National Statistical institute reported on October 18.
The average annual inflation rate for the period October 2020 - September 2021 compared to the period October 2019 - September 2020 is at 1.6%. In September 2021, compared to the previous month, the prices of goods and services in the consumer groups changed as follows: food and non-alcoholic beverages - an increase of 1.2%; alcoholic beverages and tobacco - an increase of 0.4%; clothing and footwear - a decrease of 0.1%; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels - an increase of 1.2%; home furnishings, household appliances and accessories and routine maintenance of the home - an increase of 0.4%; healthcare - prices remain at the level of last month; transport - a decrease of 0.5%.
In September 2021 the prices of the following food products increased: flour - by 0.5%, bread - by 2.3%, poultry meat - by 1.3%, perishable sausages - by 0.5%, minced meat (minced meat) - by 0.7 %, fresh and chilled fish - by 1.7%, whole and low-fat milk - by 0.3 and 1.0%, respectively, yogurts - by 0.6%, cheese - by 1.9%, yellow cheese - by 0.4%, eggs - by 4.7%, dairy oils - by 1.9%, margarine - by 0.8%, oil - by 1.3%, citrus and southern fruits - by 3.0%, tomatoes - by 5.0%, cabbage - by 11.8%, lentils - by 4.2%, vinegar - by 0.4% , tea - by 0.1%, carbonated soft drinks - by 0.9%, brandy - by 0.1%, beer - by 2.1%, and others.
In September 2021 the prices of the following food products decreased: rice - by 1.4%, beef - by 1.4%, pork - by 0.5%, perishable sausages - by 0.4%, cottage cheese - by 0.6%, apples - by 4.2%, grapes - by 12.9%, cucumbers - by 2.7%, peppers - by 7.6%, onions and garlic - by 1.6 and 1.3%, respectively, root vegetables (carrots and red beets) - by 3.1%, olives - by 1.4%, mushrooms - by 0.2%, beans - by 1.2%, sugar - by 0.2%, chocolate and chocolate products - by 0.9%, salt - by 0.1%, coffee - by 0.2%, mineral water - by 0.8 %, fruit juices - by 2.0%, wines - by 0.1%, and others.

In September 2021, in the groups of non-food goods and services a decrease in prices was registered for: footwear - by 1.1%, boilers - by 1.2%, dishwashing detergents - by 1.5%, other cleaning and disinfecting agents (liquid detergents for home cleaning) - by 1.7%, mobile phones - by 0.1%, TVs - by 0.9%, desktop personal computers - by 0.1%, tablets - by 0.4%, laptops - by 0.8%, personal care products - by 0.8% %, car insurance - by 0.1%, and others.
In September 2021 the prices of medical and dental services increased by 0.4 and 0.2%, respectively, and the prices of medicinal products remained at the level of the previous month.
The harmonized index of consumer prices for September 2021 compared to August 2021 is at 100.2%, ie monthly inflation is 0.2%. Inflation rate since the beginning of the year (September 2021 compared to December 2020) is at 3.3%, and annual inflation rate for September 2021 compared to September 2020 is at 4.0%.
