Ministry of Interior celebrates 145 years since its establishment
Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior on July 5 celebrates 145 years since its establishment. The solemn ceremony began at 9.00 am in front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier with water blessing of the flags and laying of wreaths.
At the Alexander Nevski Monument, specialised equipment that employees of the Ministry of Interior structures use in their daily work was arranged. Two helicopters of the DG Border Police flied over.
Wreaths were laid by the Ministry of Interior leadership at the Monument to the policemen who died in the line of duty. An award ceremony was held at the Ministry of Interior building for the Ministry's employees who have achieved high professional results.
Caretaker Minister, Kalin Stoyanov, personally awarded 13 employees with a badge of honour for their achievements and proven professionalism.
"Believe in yourselves, defend your positions, serve society faithfully and never give up" - with these words the caretaker Minister of Interior addressed all the employees.
Kalin Stoyanov firmly stated "I stand behind each of you who perform your duty without reservation".
On behalf of the professional management, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Chief Commissioner Dimitar Kangaldjiev thanked the staff for their dedication and diligence, for the hundreds of hours of tireless work.
"May you go home to your loved ones healthy and satisfied with your work after each day full of challenges," the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior wished the employees.
