More than 40% of the Bulgarians do not intend to get vaccinated against Covid-19, the results of a survey by the Centre for Analysis and Marketing show. The data are from October 10, and a total of 812 people participated in the survey, based on an individual interview with the participants.

Only a quarter of the respondents answered that they have already been vaccinated. 7% of respondents plan to be vaccinated within a month, and nearly 15% say they will wait for a while to see the effect of the vaccines. More than 10% of the respondents say have contracted and recovered from the virus and that they have immunity.

"Many people defend anti-scientific positions, I have no answer as to why. We can expect stricter restrictions. We are doing to ourselves as a population," commented Yuliy Pavlov, director of the Centre for Analysis and Marketing.

Meanwhile, virologists say the best protection is for people who were ill with Covid-19 and then had been vaccinated. The most appropriate time is the vaccination to take place at least 6-8 months after the recovery from Covid-19.

The new cases of coronavirus for the past day are 3,327. The daily percentage of positive tests s at almost 18%. Against this background, the new restrictive measures in the capital come into force today.
