More than 50 earthquakes with magnitude of more than 2 on Richter scale registered in Simitli over the past 4 days
Two new earthquakes were felt in the area of Simitli, Blagoevgrad district, South-Western Bulgaria, National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography (NIGGG) reported on September 7.
Last night, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 on Richter scale was registered in the area.
According to the National Seismological Centre at NIGGG-BAS, after the quake at 23:51 Bulgarian time, another one with a magnitude of 3.2 was registered in the same area today at 13:03.
The seismic events are part of a series that began on September 4 in the Simitli area and so far more than 50 earthquakes with magnitudes above M=2.0 have been recorded.
