MP Delyan Dobrev: Bulgaria bought oil worth nearly 6 billion dollars from Putin's regime

Bulgaria has bought oil from Putin's regime worth nearly $6 billion. This was announced by Delyan Dobrev, chairman of the energy committee and a GERB-UDF MP.

"In recent days, we have seen a lot of sad posts from "We Continue the Change" about the death of Navalny, so I decided to show the truth about who they worked for. And that's why I have data on how much Russian oil Bulgaria bought from Putin's regime. From February 2022 to December 2023," said Delyan Dobrev - GERB-UDF.

"In June 2022 "We Continue the Change" were in power for only one month and Bulgaria has paid 426 million dollars to Putin's regime. For the whole period - 5 billion 796 million dollars. I heard criticism towards the security services for working for the Russian side, not protecting the state interest. If that is true, why were they not working for this Putin regime? If this is true, and I am convinced it is true, what were the services doing?" asked Dobrev.

The lawmaker stressed that in the coming days he would also provide information on Gaza.

"Why did Assen Vassilev (Minister of Finance) threaten the European Commission to block sanctions against Russia for the whole of Europe if there is no derogation for Bulgaria. Here is the derogation - more than 10 billion BGN for Putin's regime. I read Assen Vassilev, I read Denkov and now they are shedding tears for Navalny," Dobrev said.

"Do you remember the arguments that we need Russian oil? That prices of petrol and diesel would become 4 BGN, that Neftohim Burgas would close, that it would lay off 2,000 workers. Since the first of January this year, thanks to our systematic efforts, we no longer import Russian oil. This is after an almost year-long battle of GERB with "We Continue the Change". Has anyone seen 4-5 BGN petrol at the pumps? We import 100% non-Russian oil and this has not had an impact on the fuel market. We didn't need to give this 10 billion to Putin," the GERB-UDF MP is adamant.
