MPs with sharp reactions after statements from Skopje on Bulgaria
Sharp reaction of the parliamentary parties on the scandalous statements on Bulgaria by the Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia.
Another provocation by North Macedonia aimed at raising tensions between Skopje and Sofia
"They acted meanly with the President, meanly with the ministers who met with them. The language they use can only be excused by the resignation of this minister. And if they don't, neither the President, nor the Prime Minister, nor the Ministers, nor the parties should meet and talk to them," said Boyko Borissov, chairman of GERB.
"The language they use is unacceptable. We are of the opinion that the agreement, which was concluded on the basis of the French proposal, is good enough and it was seen that despite the criticism we suffered at the time, entirely politically oriented, at the moment Bulgaria's interests are protected, but the colleagues from the Republic of North Macedonia for political reasons are diverting their people from their European path," said Lena Borislavova, We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria.
"The leadership of our neighbour has shown that it has a complex. This is the so-called B complex - the Bulgaria complex ... The visit of North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski to Croatia was also informal. On the photo with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, do you anywhere see the Macedonian flag", asks Kostadin Kostadinov, chairman of "Vazrazhdane".
"Unacceptable statements, even more so for two neighbouring countries and I believe that if normal relations are to continue, this man should resign ", said Borislav Gutsanov, BSP for Bulgaria.
"As far as “There is Such a People” is concerned - the Republic of North Macedonia will not even get a ‘sniff’ of the EU until they fix their way of behaving, talking and respecting all the elements of the treaties on good-neighbourliness and cooperation," Stanislav Balabanov of “There is Such a People” said.
