National met office announced protest readiness, suspends uploading of weather forecasts on website

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has suspended the submission of information on its website weather.bg.

The page displays a message announcing that NIMH is on protest readiness.

The reason is a decision of the Council of Ministers to transfer NIMH from the structure of the Ministry of Education and Science to the Ministry of Environment and Water.

Meteorologists are worried that they will not receive funding for scientific activities.
