New rule in effect from today: People who test positive for coronavirus in Bulgaria must self-isolate for 14 days
Effective from today, March 15, a rule comes into force for those who tested positive for COVID-19. They should self-isolate for up to 14 days at the discretion of the treating physician.
Their contacts will be placed under medical observation for 10 days. The normative changes for this have been promulgated in the State Gazette.
They introduce the requirement that in the event of a case of the virus being contracted in a nursery, kindergarten or school, the children of the relevant group or class will be quarantined within the facility for a period of 10 days.
Children or pupils, who recovered from the illness should return to kindergarten or shcool upon presenting a medical note stating that they are clinically healthy.
