Bulgaria’s Parliament on November 6 approved rules of procedure for electing a new chairperson of the country’s Commission for Combatting Corruption and Unlawfully Acquired Assets Forfeiture.
The election became necessary after Plamen Georgiev resigned as the Chairperson of the anticorruption body amid a real estate scandal and was later appointed as Bulgarian Consul in Valencia, Spain.
