Plovdiv steps up anti-epidemic restrictions
Bulgaria’s second largest city of Plovdiv is designated as Zone 3 of the new plan for dealing with the pandemic. This caused the local authorities to convene an urgent meeting, at which a decision was made to introduce additional measures.
From Monday, restaurants and cafes will work with 50% capacity and the working hours will be from 5.00 to 23.00.
Unaccompanied minors are not allowed in the malls.
The services of the public transport in the city will be increased.
No new measures are planned for the schools so far, as the students are on a one-week interim vacation since Monday.
To date, the incidence of COVID-19 in Plovdiv district is 1,702 infections per 100,000 people. The capacity of the intensive care beds is 70% full.
