PM Borissov and President Putin talk energy projects
Bulgaria will construct Balkan gas hub and be included in the gas pipeline "Turkish Flow". This was made clear at the presser in Kremlin following talks between Bulgaria's head of government Boyko Borissov and Rusiia's President Vladimir Putin.
During their 2-hour meeting in the Kremlin the leaders discussed issues of common interest especially in the energy sector. Moscow declared continuance of Russian nucler fuel supplies and technical assistanse to Kozloduy nuclear station.
A new pipe will be constructed within Turkish Flow pipeline to reach Bulgaria's territory through which gas deliveries from Russia will reach Bulgaria's territory. Putin assured Borissov that he had spoken to President Erdogan and received the consent of the Turkish side for Bulgaia's inclusion into the pipeline.
Considerable gas quantities will be stored in Balkan gas hub which is to be build shortly.
"Now Bulgaria resumes its role on the Balkan gas distribution field", Borissov commented after the talks.
He and Putin discussed the relevance of thawing Bulgaria's moratorium on Belene nuclear project.
"Russia is interested in the nuclear plant construction if Bulgarian leadership decides so and, of course, on market principles", President Putin said for the press.
Business relations in construction industry, tourism and real estate sector as well cooperation in culture and education were other subjects on the table of today's talks in Moscow.
Boyko Borissov is accompanied by some of his ministers. Earlier today he met his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
