PM Borissov inspects progress on construction of Hemus motorway near Pleven
Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on September 21 inspected progress on the construction of a section of Hemus motorway near the city of Pleven. He was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Nikolai Nankov.
Borissov said that the section from Targovishte to Varna will be launched at the end of November, and now 30 km in both directions from Veliko Turnovo will be launched.
The PM described the route from the old capital Veliko Turnovo to Sofia as "unique". "You can't imagine what Bulgarian builders are doing. It is unique. Huge progress has been achieved," Borissov said.
Referring to projections of videos on the facade of Parliament by protesters, Borissov commented: "It is good for them to screen films. It is not bad, it is democracy. As there is no provocation, everyone can protest as much as they want. But this motoray is an example of what we should leave for the next generations," the prime minister added.
