PM: More than 526,000 Bulgarians in need receive food packages
More than 526,000 Bulgarians in need receive food packages, home care or hot lunch. These are the elderly, people with disabilities or low incomes, single parents, and quarantined, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov wrote on his Facebook profile on November 17.
"Nearly 26,000 people are visited by social workers teams, and food and medicine are delivered to them. Under the "Hot Lunch at Home" programme, more than 26,400 people receive food. Separately, food packages will be delivered to 470,000 people in need. During a pandemic, the state takes care of all its citizens. We are actively working to continue with these programmes next year," Borissov wrote.
