POLLS: 26% WOULD VOTE FOR BSP, 24% FOR GERB IF ELECTIONS WERE HELD TODAY

If the elections were held today, five political parties would have entered the Bulgarian Parliament and two other were close, but so far were below the 4% threshold, the results of the latest survey by AFIS polling agency showed on 5th of March.
According to the respondents, the centre-left Bulgarian Socialist Party would receive 26% and the centre-right GERB would receive 24% of the votes. United Patriots would enter the future Parliament with 7% support, the Movement for Rights and Freedom with 5.7% and Volya (Will) party of the businessman Vesselin Mareshki would receive 4% of the votes.
Two political formations were close to the 4% threshold: the centre-right coalition “Reformist Bloc – People’s Voice”would receive 3.8% of the votes and coalition “ABV – Movement 21” would receive 2.8%.
According to the survey results, “Yes, Bulgaria” party would be supported by less than 1% of the votes, DOST - Freedom and Dignity People's Party would receive 0.7% and New Republic would get 0.6%.
The nationwide survey was conducted from 23rd to 27th of February 2017 among a sample of 1,200 Bulgarians, using face-to-face interviews.
