Powerful thunder storm in Sofia flooded streets and caused traffic disruptions

Powerful hail and thunder storm in Sofia this evening caused flooding in the streets of the capital and power outages in many areas.

Perlovska river overflowed and turned Evlogi Georgiev boulevard into a river.

The storm caused difficulties for traffic in the boulevards “Bulgaria”, “Tsar Boris III” and Nikola Petkov in the direction of Knyazhevo neighbourhood.

Underground stations were also flooded.

The pedestrian underpass at Eagles Bridge was flooded.
