President announces schedule for consultations with political parties before handing the mandate for forming a government
The Presidency announced the schedule for consultations with the parliamentary parties. They will take place early next week - on March 11 and 12 (Monday and Tuesday).
On Monday, March 11, the President will meet with:
9:30 - GERB-UDF
11:30 - WCC-DB
14.00 - MRF
On Tuesday, 12 March, the President will meet with:
9:30 - "Vazrazhdane"
11:30 - 11:00 Bulgarian Socialist Party
14.00 - 23 There is Such a People
This means that GERB-UDF and WCC-DB will have time for negotiations tomorrow and over the weekend. Intentions for talks were stated by leaders of both political forces earlier today.
According to President Rumen Radev, currently the coalition partners in the government are confused, which is evident "from their reactions to the resignation of the cabinet."

On March 6, 2024, Parliament voted to accept the resignation of the government of PM Nikolai Denkov as part of the planned cabinet rotation.
The rotation was planned to take place on March 6, 2024 as part of an agreement (in 2023) between the two largest parliamentary groups, GERB-UDF and We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria for rotating PM, according to which Nikolai Denkov and Mariya Gabriel will switch posts as Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister every nine months.
