Prime Minister Petkov: Bulgaria is interested in opportunities to import oil products from Saudi Arabia

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

Deepening political dialogue and cooperation in the areas of energy, defence, tourism, investment and high technology were among the highlights of the talks at the Council of Ministers on May 26.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Petkov was adamant that Bulgaria is interested in diversifying oil and gas supplies and in exploring opportunities for importing oil products from Saudi Arabia.

The Prime Minister presented to his guest investment opportunities in Bulgaria in a number of business sectors, including infrastructure, tourism, transport, agriculture, information and telecommunication technologies.

During the talks, the potential for promoting cooperation in agriculture and the development of air connectivity between the two countries was also discussed.
