Restaurants re-open at March 1 at 50% capacity

From March 1, all restaurants and eateries will be allowed to re-open provided they use 50% of the seating capacity and with opening hours until 23.00. The nightclubs will be allowed to re-open from April 1, Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Mariana Nikolova, after a meeting between the health authorities and the restaurant industry on February 24.

All restaurants, outside the hotels, will welcome customers as of March 1, subject to anti-epidemic measures.

Organized events, such as congress and conference tourism, will also resume as of March 1.Their capacity will be up to 30%.

Excursions and package trips will also be available from March 1, with clear rules regarding the medical and health requirements for the tourists on the bus, vaccination or to have the necessary antigen test results, antibodies.

The restaurant and tourism industry representatives said they were pleased with the meeting at the health ministry, although they did not receive a guarantee that there would be no further closures. A decision was reached for vaccination of the employees from the tourism sector.
