Restaurateurs in Plovdiv protest against of Covid-19 restrictions
Restaurant owners in Sofia and Plovdiv on September 7 protested against the restrictions introduced to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Deyan Naydenov, owner of two restaurants in Plovdiv, told BNT that they were announcing a civic protest. The establishments will accept clients despite the order of the Minister of Health.
"We do not agree with this political decision, which is taken hastily and without taking into account how we were closed for about 6 months during the previous wave," Naidenov said.
According to him, the restaurants will not stop working and are convinced that they are right.
Naidenov said all his employees had been vaccinated.
"We encouraged in every way our staff, who are mostly young people, to get vaccinated and everyone is vaccinated. We convinced them that this is the way to work with people. It turned out that we lied to them because they would close us," he said.
Visitors are also expected to be vaccinated.
