Rousse and Montana districts re-designated as Covid-19 “red zones”, total number now rises to 24
The districts in Bulgaria with the highest rate of infection are Pleven, Vratsa and Kyustendil, where the number of Covid-19 infections as of March 7 is more than 500 per 100,000 population. (Kyustendil - 538 per 100 000 people; followed by Pleven – 553; Vratsa - 500, and the city of Sofia - 484.
The data are from the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.
The districts of Bourgas, Sofia-city and Shoumen report more than 400 infected per 100,000 population.

Scheduled non-urgent admissions and visits to hospitals in the Covid-19 "red zone" districts are suspended.
The cases in Sliven, Haskovo and Blagoevgrad are more than 300 per 100,000 people.
Three districts - Vidin, Kardzhali and Razgrad are designated as “orange zones” meaning the rate of infections is between 60 to 119.9 infected per 100 000 people..
The only district in the "yellow zone” is Targovishte, where there are 41 infected per 100,000.
