Rumen Radev: Reason and love for the country prevailed over apathy and lies
An unprecedented political month of two types of elections has come to an end, which has clearly shown the will of the people for change and break away from corruption, President Rumen Radev said in his first statement after the end of the election day on November 21.
According to him, the expectations that the citizens will get tired and return to the familiar old way of governance did come true and despite the fake news and the directed scandals, Bulgaria passed this exam in democracy.
He also did not succumb to attempts to create ethnic tension.
"The new Parliament has no right to make mistakes and procrastination," Rumen Radev said, because people will not forgive. Any attempt to act against the will of the people will be suicidal.
According to him, it is now necessary to form a clear political majority with reforms in the judicial system, as well as to prevent socio-economic tensions in the winter. Fighting the pandemic also remains a priority.
