Scheduled non-urgent admissions to hospitals suspended in districts with more than 120 cases of coronavirus per 100,000 people

The medical establishments in the districts with more than 120 cases of coronavirus per 100,000 people will suspend planned admissions and scheduled non-emergency surgical procedures. All medical institutions in the respective areas are obliged to open COVID structures with a minimum of 10% of the total number of beds they have.

In the hospitals in the districts with a morbidity of 60.0 to 119.9 cases of the virus per 100,000 people, the planned surgical procedures are suspended. These hospitals are required to open COVID structures with a minimum of 5% of the total number of beds available.

The ban, respectively for planned admission and scheduled non-emergency surgical procedures, does not apply to the performance of activities related to transplantation of organs, tissues and cells, diagnosis and treatment of patients with oncological and oncohematological diseases, assisted reproduction activities and births.

This was enacted in an order by the Minister of Health issued today, October 23. The order enters into force on October 25 (Sunday).

According to the same order, the district governors and local self-government bodies shall establish the necessary organization for control over the observance of the anti-epidemic measures, as well as that they have the right to introduce additional measures.
