The Order for the new anti-Covid-19 measures comes into force at 00.00 tonight. According to it, in every municipality where the incidence of coronavirus is more than 750 infections per 100,000 population for a 14-day period, the in-person attendance learning will be suspended. If the morbidity in Sofia is such, the in-person classes will be suspended, caretaker Minister of Health, Stoycho Katsarov, said on October 20 at a briefing after the regular weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers.

Caretaker Minister of Education, Nikolay Denkov, clarified that the official information from the Chief State Inspector on the morbidity is expected. If it is over 750 cases, the Order will be executed immediately, the other option is on Monday. This will become clear today.

The suspension of in-person attendance classes will be carried out at municipal level.

Minister Denkov also said that in the past two weeks there has been a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases at schools.

For the time being, the green certificate is not planned to be introduced in the education system.
