Speaker of Parliament: Central Election Commission should implement the machine voting at elections
GERB is preparing for regular elections, not early elections, the Speaker of Bulgaria’s Parliament, Tsveta Karayancheva, said on September 8 and added that GERB has won all parliamentary elections organized by caretaker governments. The machines for the machine voting must be provided by the Central Election Commission (CEC), not by the state. It should be CEC’s responsibility to implement the machine voting, Karayancheva added.
There are many statements in the public domain that the ruling party would collect protocols, ballots ... Doubts in the election process are incited. In order be clear from such doubts as much as possible, the CEC should implement the machine voting. In the public domain, there would always be people who would try to justify their electoral failures by saying that the elections were rigged, she said.
