State Fund “Agriculture” allocates BGN 3 million to farmers for losses due to hail in Plovdiv region

The Management Board of the State Fund "Agriculture" approved a financial resource of BGN 3 million under the state aid "Aid to compensate for damage to crops caused by adverse climatic events that can be equated to natural disasters" that occurred in 2021 .

The amount will be distributed to farmers with 100% crop losses due to hail at the end of August in Plovdiv district, announced the State Fund "Agriculture" on November 9.

89 ascertainment protocols for an area of ​​3,979 decares have been issued for the affected production. They were prepared after checking for completely ruined areas (100%) due to hail in the region.

The maximum financial resource eligible for support is 80% of the production costs for growing the affected crops. In cases where those affected by the hails do not have insurance, the amount is reduced to 50%, according to the European Union guidelines on state aid in the agricultural and forestry sectors and in rural areas for the period 2014-2020 (extended until end of 2022)

The guidelines for providing the aid in short terms are to be prepared and approved.
