State proposes to raise poverty line

The state proposes that next year's poverty line in Bulgaria be BGN 369, which is an increase of BGN 6 compared to this year.

According to Eurostat data, in 2019 more than 1.3 million Bulgarians or 18.6% of the population had incomes below the poverty line. This was announced by the Minister of Social Affairs Denitsa Sacheva at the meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation today, September 14.
