Sveta Nedelya Square in Sofia to be turned into pedestrian area.
Sveta Nedelya Square in Sofia will be transformed into pedestrian area.
"After years of effort, the parking lot and one of the fences are being removed and pedestrians will be able to walk freely along one of the most central and busy squares in the capital, announced Boris Bonev, a municipal councilor from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (Save Sofia) in his Facebook profile.
As soon as the restoration of the pavement and the expansion of the pedestrian zone is completed, benches and planters with trees will be placed, Bonev reports.
"This is an important step towards making Sofia comfortable for its residents. We have also thought about the transport service of the hotel, for which seven parking spaces have been left, which are located outside the square and do not interfere with pedestrians," Boris Bonev stressed.
He points out that in just a few weeks a project has been developed and agreed, for which he thanks the administration.
