The first Eurovision semi-final - Intelligent Music Project represented Bulgaria with the song "Intention"
At the first Eurovision semi-final on May 10, 2022, Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project presented the song “Intention”.
Bulgaria’s representatives performed under number 7 on the big stage.
The Bulgarian band did not qualify for the grand final, but they represented the country with dignity and their performance electrified the audience.
Among the special visual effects that contributed to the powerful performance of the Bulgarian representatives was a three-metre high "sound core" located on the stage.

Intelligent Music Project fans in Bulgaria were not able to vote for Ronnie Romero and company, as according to Eurovision rules the audience in the respective country is not allowed to vote for their representative in the contest, but can only support their favourite among the other contestants.
A total of 17 countries took part in tonight's first semi-final:
Albania, Latvia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Slovenia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Moldova, Portugal, Croatia, Denmark, Austria, Iceland, Greece, Norway, Armenia.
10 of them qualified for the Grand Final:
